About This Project

Arrow International specialise in redevelopment of historical buildings. Our work on this Invercargill construction project saw a complete remodel of the 1940’s Invercargill High and District Court building, including a full new first floor addition and cell basement area. Arrow were engaged to manage the entire refurbishment from initial concept planning through the detailed design phase and on to full construction.

Unique Aspects

The building occupies a large footprint so space was limited, creating significant access challenges. The new cells were constructed under the floor of the courthouse while the Court remained fully operational, requiring careful logistics planning. Incorporating modern elements into a heritage building required a holistic design and construction approach.
