New Arrow leader focuses on the future
Arrow Chief Executive Ken Forrest is relishing the opportunity to step into the top job.
Forrest has held a number of leadership roles since joining Arrow in 2001, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. With a background in construction, manufacturing, engineering and IT, and a deep understanding of the business and its people, Forrest is well qualified to lead Arrow as it accelerates its strategy to win more negotiated design and build work and expand its property development business.
“For over 30 years, Arrow has consistently sought to work in partnership with clients,” explains Forrest. “This is the key to its success and, while it would be unwise to underestimate the challenges facing construction, we are incredibly excited about the opportunities and our potential to realise our vision to be the best of the best. I feel incredibly lucky to be at the helm of a business that from the board through to the people who work at the coalface, sets the highest standards with respect to culture, client focus and success.”
As CEO of Arrow International, Forrest is responsible for New Zealand and the Melbourne business. Mark Farrell, Commercial Manager for the highly successful Southern Response earthquake repairs, joins the executive as General Manager Finance.
Arrow co-founder and director Ron Anderson is now Executive Chairman, Arrow International.
Previous CEO Mark Hopwood leaves to pursue other opportunities, but continues his involvement with Arrow and the team, including maintaining a directorship with an associated entity.
