Construction of a 2100m2 shed comprising a 1400m2 bulk store and 700m2 showroom plus offices. The project also includes 4000m2 of asphalt lay down and parking areas. The building consists of concrete slab on grade, structural steel portals, block exterior walls, colour steel walls and roof, and aluminium doors and windows.
The initial design was overcomplicated with an initial budget of $6M, through significant value engineering Arrow was able to reduce this to $3.1M. The building was subject to tight height and boundary restrictions due to the proximity to Queenstown Airport, this was then further challenged by the client’s space and storage requirements.
